Be Like Dad is a 5-piece indie/rock group from the Cardiff area of South Wales. Formed by a group of schoolmates looking to make music together, the band has been going since the fall of 2003 under the current line-up which features:

Michael Graham - Vocals / Keyboard
Jonathan Ackland - Guitar
David Turnbull - Guitar / Vocals
Anthony Ruston - Bass
Owen Fox - Drums

In April 2004 the band recorded a demo at Albany Studios in Cardiff with Lawson Dando (Incredible String Band). The band has played gigs around South Wales in venues such as Cardiff Engine Rooms, Cardiff Barfly and Newport TJ's. Currently looking to get their music heard by a larger audience, the band are pushing themselves musically and looking for gigs further afield. The band's music can range from soft, melodic and piano-based pop to hard-hitting crunchy guitar-driven rock. This contrast in the music provides something new, a unique sound developed by a band currently in their teens. Aged only between 16-17, Be Like Dad's sound can only improve as the band gain in experience and maturity.
